二十四節気では、秋の気配が見えはじめる「立秋」の頃。

まだまだ暑い日が続きますが、この日を境に、夏の暑さを“残暑”と呼ぶようになります。

朝晩の涼しい風や、変わりゆく虫の鳴き声に、秋の気配を感じる機会が増えるかもしれません。

 

四季の彩り豊かなこの国では、折々に見せる植物の表情や動物の営みをとらえ、日々、季節の移ろいを繊細に感じ取り、愛でてきました。

「響」は、そうした日本人の感性や美意識が育んだ芸術文化に敬意を表し、日本を代表するやきもの産地「有田」「九谷」の匠たちと手を携え、磁器製のスペシャルボトルを創造してきました。

 

今回ご紹介するのは、2002年に数量限定で発売した「響21年」のコレクションです。

美しい白磁に色絵が映える「有田」、力強い五彩で森羅万象を描く「九谷」。

Hibiki 21 Years Old Special Bottle Collection 2002

 

According to Japan’s traditional 24 seasons, the period now is risshu, when you start to see the first signs of autumn.

The days are still hot, but this is known as the “lingering heat” of the late summer.

From the cool breeze of the mornings and evenings to the changing sounds of the insects, there are many opportunities to spot the signs of the coming autumn.

 

Japan’s richly distinct four seasons are visible in the plants and animals around us, allowing people to sense subtle seasonal shifts and enjoy the experience of time passing.

Hibiki pays tribute to this Japanese sensibility and aesthetic, and the culture and arts cultivated by it. Two special bottles were created by the artisans of Arita and Kutani, two of Japan’s major ceramic regions.

 

This special bottle collection was released in strictly limited numbers for Hibiki 21 Years Old in 2002.

Made from classic Japanese porcelain from Arita, with a color glaze contrasting against the beautiful white; and Kutani, depicting the universe in striking colors, these bottles enwrap Hibiki in a traditional aesthetic.
